Wellwick House
Wellwick House in St Osyth is a lovely residential home with six bedrooms, opposite the Priory and overlooking fields of deer and rare breed cattle.
We provide a service for six residents, one of whom has their own self-contained flat with bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/diner/sitting room. We have two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and three large bedrooms with their own separate bathrooms.
The people who live here are supported 24 hours a day, both in the community and in the home.
We believe individuals should be supported in a person-centred way and with dignity and respect. Our aim is to help them be as independent as possible by encouraging and empowering them towards more independent living.
Those who use our services have person-centred support plans and health plans, and are often very busy with their chosen activities, e.g. college, swimming, theatre, spa, horse-riding and various appointments.
Many of them enjoy going swimming and out for dinner. We believe they should all live a meaningful and productive life.
Wellwick House is a large listed building with a separate activity room where we all enjoy arts and crafts, bar football, listening to music, reading, playing board games or holding special occasion parties.
We also have large garden where we like to relax on the swing and play on the trampoline. Or simply soak up the sun with a nice cup of tea in our seated areas.
Our team are dedicated and driven. Most have long backgrounds in care and have been at the home since it opened in 1999; some have just started and we are happy to guide them so they can build their career.
