Leave a gift in your Will
All gifts, big or small make a difference to people’s lives within your community.
Remember us in your Will
It is our vision to be the go-to place for people to feel connected, informed and included as they grow older, now and in the years ahead. Our vital services are free to access, but we rely on the generosity of our community to continue to help those who need us.
With a gift to Age Well East in your Will, whether it is a small percentage or modest sum of money, you will be helping thousands of people in your community who face poverty, isolation, and bereavement. A gift leaves a lasting legacy within our community and makes sure that those in later years are not forgotten.
All gifts, big or small make a difference to people’s lives. People like Margaret;
“Margaret cared for her husband, Robert since he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Providing daily care and support for her husband was difficult for Maragret, both mentally and physically and the couple became increasingly socially isolated, unaware of the help that was available to them.”
Through our Befriending Service, Margaret met with Evie, a volunteer who offered the simple gift of someone to talk with. Margaret and Evie first started crocheting together, something Margaret had always wanted to learn but had never taken the time for herself to do. Evie also helped the couple to secure a place for Robert in a Day Centre one day a week, giving Margaret much needed respite with the reassurance that her husband was being well cared for while she took some time away.
When Robert sadly passed away in 2020, Evie was there for Margaret and helped her adapt to her new life without her husband. Margaret and Evie remain friends today, meeting every week to crochet and remember Robert together.
