Fraud and online scams

“I felt like I had lost all confidence. The advice team gave me reassurance and helped me overcome the ordeal.”

Fraud and online scams can happen to anyone. We are here to help you to feel protected against these crimes.

We receive lots of calls from people who are either worried about or have experienced fraud or attempted scams. To provide the best support, we have developed links with Essex Police.

We can advise you on how to stay safe online and inform you of the risks posed by fraudulent cold callers (telephone and doorstep) and other types of fraud including romance scams, courier scams, and delivery frauds.

If you think you have become a victim of fraud or a scam, first report this to Essex Police by calling 101. Our kind and friendly advisers will tell you who to contact and what to do next. We will also support you with the impact of a scam and help you to feel confident again and put you in touch with organisations providing specialist support. https://www.victimsupport.org.uk/help-and-support/

Please contact us to arrange an appointment with one of our advisers on 0300 37 33 333.

Action Fraud is a national reporting centre for fraud and cybercrime. They share reports on investment frauds, holiday frauds, pension frauds and many other different kinds of fraud which has affected individuals and families across our country during the past year.
