We are a semi-rural dispensing practice in the centre of the Tendring peninsula. Thorpe-le-Soken is an old established village and a conservation area. Many of the buildings in the High Street are listed, with the parish church dating from the 11th century. The surgery has approximately 7500 patients, drawn from Thorpe-le-Soken and the surrounding villages of Weeley, Tendring, Little Clacton, Beaumont and Kirby.

The surgery is situated in a prominent location on the High Street, and it consists of a Grade II listed building with a modern, purpose built extension. The surgery was opened in this location in 1993. A branch surgery operates at Frinton Road, Kirby Cross to provide easier access to our services.

We have 2 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 advanced nurse practitioners, 2 emergency care practitioners, 2 practice nurses and 5 healthcare assistants (one of who is currently in nursing training), together with an administration team consisting of a practice manager, a finance controller, assistant practice manager, a dispensary manager, 9 receptionists and a medical secretary. All members of the practice have a role to play in patient care and we work as a team with each member trained in the skills required for their position. We aim to provide a high quality, friendly and efficient service. The practice is an equal opportunities employer.
