Welcome to The Cavendish, our luxurious Care Home for the elderly, offering personalised, individually tailored residential care, dementia care, respite care and day care.

The Home is set in the heart of the town of Clacton-on-Sea, a vibrant seaside resort on the sunshine coast with its award winning beaches and stunning seafront gardens. The Cavendish is set in beautifully landscaped gardens and is located a mere 10 minute walk from the town centre. It is positioned in a quiet residential area just close to the beautiful and unspoilt beaches of Clacton.

At the Cavendish, all of our bedrooms are large and spacious, with an en-suite and the Home provides care for 21 residents. All rooms are wheelchair accessible with television and telephone. We encourage all residents to personalise their rooms with their own accessories. As well as having your own personal space, we have two spacious lounges, a separate dining room and a well trained team of dedicated staff to provide 24 hour support.

The Cavendish was built in 1919 by a former British Brigadier who had all the bricks brought down by boat from London. When the home was registered as a Care Home it was owned by a naval captain who sailed one of the largest oil tankers in the world, “The Cavendish”, which he named the home after.
