Tang Hall Residential Home
Tang Hall is a registered Care Home providing residential care for adults who are suffering from Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other dementia related conditions. We provide quality care of the highest standard, treating all our residents with dignity and respect.
At Tang Hall we offer a secure, homely and comfortable environment so our residents can lead fulfilled lives.
Situated in a quiet residential area, 10 minutes to Clacton-On-Sea sea front. Tang Hall is a Dementia Care Home, extended over 2 floors and serviced by a lift. The home is comprised of 19 bedrooms, of which 18 are for single occupancy and 1 is for shared occupancy, with some bedrooms having an en-suite bathroom. Some of the bedrooms overlook the quiet secluded garden.
Tang Hall delivers the principles of person-centred care, where we see a resident with a mental disorder as an individual, rather than focusing on their illness or on abilities they may have lost.
We concentrate on our resident’s unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs.
The care staff are trained in delivering cognitive stimulation therapy with music and reminiscence exercises being the main tools used. A sensory therapist is employed to visit the home to deliver a program that highlights the senses of touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste.
We adopt positive (non-restrictive) interventions as the preferred method of providing support to our residents experiencing behavioural disturbances. Staff are trained to strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents within a warm and caring atmosphere.
The design and the environmental layout of Tang Hall provides good signage with orientating and “cueing” features such as well-lit areas, clearly marked entrances to day rooms, familiar features, an inviting and homely style.
