SUMMIT
Founded in 1976 SUMMIT is the registered trademark of Tendring Mental Health Support, a company limited by guarantee. Our mission is to improve people’s lives by giving control back to them, right across the spectrum, and empowering them in the process, restoring their self-belief, self-reliance and self- worth. Our aim is to help vulnerable people find their own voice and to stand up for their rights- creating a culture of enablement, not dependency. We work in partnership with the people we support to develop and deliver meaningful services that reduce marginalisation, promote inclusion, foster independence and address health inequalities.
SUMMIT have a range of bespoke services for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and adults who have entrenched Mental Health Disorders. Our mission is to support the most vulnerable in our society.
We help people to lead full and meaningful lives by helping them to access the services they need such as advocacy, outreach work for the isolated, correspondence support, providing therapeutic and self-development services, supporting them through medical and diagnostic assessments, connecting them to other organisations and services whilst assisting them to obtain their right to fair treatment and inclusion.
