Morell Lodge is a newly refurbished 16 bedroom residential and dementia care home in the heart of Clacton On Sea, Essex. We deliver quality residential and dementia care and offer short respite stays to give family carers some well-deserved time off. Our aim is to provide a friendly residential setting within a care home environment providing a quality of life which enables residents to retain their independence, identity and sense of value.

Staff in our care home are trained in caring for older people with dementia and undertake special training to gain a greater understanding of what life is like for people living with the condition. Their empathy and commitment mean that residents, here at Morell Lodge, benefit from exceptional care that is highly personalised to each individual’s needs.

Morell Lodge care home in Clacton On Sea is a small and homely care home with a lovely seaside location. Our residents’ rooms are light and airy, high quality furnishings, phone and television connections, and a 24-hour call system.

The care home incorporates many design features which support people who have dementia, such as pictures that help people identify the purpose of different rooms around the home and memory boxes where residents can place photographs and personal mementos. We always try to think about small things that can make a big difference to residents, we also keep up to date with any new training or research to ensure that we are providing the best care we possibly can.

Here at Morell Lodge we encourage residents to take part in the day-to-day life at the care home in any way they want to. Many of our residents love to relax in the garden, plan trips and days out with us. We will also make the most of our fantastic location in Clacton On Sea, with lots of trips to the beach in the summer months and trips to the theatre to keep involved within the community.
