Eight Ash Court Ltd is a purpose built residential care home for people with learning disabilities, which consists of two bungalows, situated in a small village on the outskirts of Colchester.

Eight Ash Court is located in a small village, which as a number of public houses, local shops and a post office, the home is also close to the A12 and is within easy reach of the Tollgate Retail Park, which includes a Sainsbury’s supermarket, McDonalds, PC world and Comet. The main Bus route passes the home on the Halstead Road, with an hourly service.

Both bungalows has six single bedrooms, furnished to high standard, design features include wide corridors, large WC’s and bathrooms allowing for wheelchair access, each bungalow has a spacious lounge, separate dinning room and well planned kitchen.
The bungalows provide accommodation for 12 service users who may have mobility/ sensory difficulties in addition to their learning disability.

Eight Ash Court has been designed to provide care for people with a disability who may also have other difficulties and specials needs such as:
Posture and movement problems
Sensory impairment
Medical conditions such as epilepsy
Deficits in self care and social skills
Poorly developed communication skills
Certain challenging behaviours

Eight Ash Court is part of the Pathways Care Consortium there are ten residential premises located in seven sites in and around Colchester. The homes provide comfortable, enabling and supporting living opportunities for 57 persons of varying ages and degrees of ability.
