Cottage Walk
Cottage Walk is a residential service for females aged 18+ with moderate to severe learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge, restricted mobility and/ or Epilepsy. The service offers a person centred planning approach tailored towards individual needs and focused on outcomes.
People are supported to be as independent as possible, engaging in meaningful activities both in the service and in the wider community. Individuals are supported to lead enriching lives and staff support them to identify and maintain both leisure activities and education and/or work placements. Staff are available 24 hours a day including waking night staff.
Cottage Walk is a homely property located in the coastal area of Clacton-on-Sea. It has 6 bedrooms across two floors, with a shower room, bathroom and a Parker bathroom which is located downstairs for easy access. There are communal areas for people to socialise in if they wish, including a large lounge/dining area and a kitchen. There is also a sensory room which is ideal for in-house sensory sessions.
The garden is very spacious and is perfect for leisure activities and social events. There is a large hallway which is accessible to wheelchair users.
The service has its own service vehicle so any days out individuals want to go on are possible.
Cottage Walk is part of the Achieve Together Group. Our shared ethos has always been to have the people we support and their families at the heart of our organisation and at the centre of everything we do. Together we are focused on sharing and learning from the best of both legacy organisations to provide a strong foundation to offer the best possible support.
