Established in 1976 as a residential care home for children, Clacton Family Trust is now a residential care home, providing specialist care for disabled adults ranging from the ages of 16 to 65.
The care provided across the Home is “Person Centered” and tailored to each individual resident. Our residents are encouraged to be involved in all decisions made within their home and regular house meetings are held. Our home prides itself on its excellent varied communication techniques. All our staff undergo an extensive induction program that re reflects the needs of each individual resident. All staff at our homes work closely with a wide range of professionals enabling them to always provide an excellent service.
The overall effects are homes with spacious communal environment are balanced with privacy and space for each individual.
Our Residential Care is based across five houses each house is designed to a high specification with easy access to allow easy use of equipment. We specialise in supporting people with Learning Disability, Complex Health Needs, Epilepsy, Physical Disability and Sensory Impairment.
All our houses are spacious with communal lounges and dinning rooms for residents to enjoy the company of others. The bedrooms are bright and airy, and we encourage residents to personalise their rooms to their own taste. Our trained staff support our residents while encouraging them to develop skills and make choices in their daily lives. We aim to embrace each residents individuality and promote person centred care whilst still ensuring that each house maintains a homely atmosphere that each resident can relax and feel safe and secure in.
