Description

Cavendish House, in Carnarvon Road, Clacton-on-Sea, is a 6 bed care home for the long-term care of clients with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

The home admits service users between the ages of 18 and 65, who may be on Community Treatment Orders, (CTO). As a smaller rehabilitation facility, the home offers a family-like environment and as such, service users are encouraged to take responsibility for household and domestic chores.  The home also enables service users to prepare their own meals on a daily basis, should they so wish.

Cavendish House is being established with the primary aim of enabling and supporting individuals to achieve lifestyles that are both satisfying to themselves and valued by others in society, facilitated through individually tailored support packages of care. The team at Cavendish House believes that this can be achieved by valuing both the individual and those within their social networks.

Cavendish House is a substantial detached house, comprising two floors. It has six bedrooms and three bathrooms. Additionally, there is a lounge/ dining room and meeting room, where clients can host visitors. Outside and to the rear of the building there is a courtyard, while to the front of the building there are essential car parking facilities.

The house is situated in the town of Clacton-on-Sea, within the Tendring District of Essex, and is within walking distance of the train station, main bus routes, college and numerous other leisure facilities; including a very short walk to the sea front.

Cavendish House is part of Florijn Care Ltd. Florijn Care Ltd is a new provider of care for people with learning disabilities and mental health problems, owned and managed by people who have over 25 years experience in the field.
