These flats are offered as a tenancy and care packages are provided to assist with all aspects of daily living skills, employment and college attendance.
Bruntsfield House, 70 Wellesley Road, Clacton-on-Sea, is a 6 bed care home for the long-term care of clients with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The home has been established with the primary aim of enabling and supporting individuals to achieve lifestyles that are both satisfying to themselves and valued by others in society, facilitated through individually tailored support packages of care.
The facility admits working age adult service users between the ages of 18 and 65, who may be on Community Treatment Orders, (CTO). As a smaller rehabilitation facility, the home offers a family-like environment and as such, service users are encouraged to take responsibility for household and domestic chores including cooking with staff support.
The house is situated in the town of Clacton-on-Sea, within the Tendring District of Essex, and is within walking distance of the train station, main bus routes, college and numerous other leisure facilities; including a very short walk to the sea front.
Bruntsfield is part of the Florijn care group, they specialise in helping people with treatable mental health needs, diverse developmental conditions, such as Autistic spectrum disorders, Aspergers, etc., and who may present behaviour considered to be potentially difficult and challenging.
Florijn offers long-term rehabilitation and various, person centred therapeutic options for our service users. Facilitated by a robust process of assessment and individual care pathway development, addressing all aspects of risk and need, Florijn is able to manage and support difficult and disruptive clients within its existing, highly specialised services.
