Avalon is a specialist, residential service for young individuals who are on the Autistic spectrum and who were leaving children services to Adult services. To prepare individuals for a successful transition, the team at Avalon have a reputation for careful , intensive and sensitive transition planning, by working alongside other professional networks, and their families to come up with ingredients to achieve a successful pathway to adulthood and bringing person centered solutions.
Our multidisciplinary team at Avalon includes our Service Manager Samantha Dhillon, whom specialises in Positive Behaviour support in creating and implementing intervention plans and Registered manager Simon North who has great experience in The Autism Spectrum condition.
Avalon provides a thriving, nurturing and stimulating environment where young people across the autistic spectrum can embrace their learning difficulties with innovative techniques including a multi-discipline therapeutic approach, which has led to a pathway of greater independence and development of skills.
Families play an important role from the very beginning of the transition throughout their placement, we believe this contributes to the success of Avalon
