Are you a military Veteran? Research Study

CARP and the University of Essex are organising Angling For Good project for military veterans.

The project is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research to look at the use of angling as a means of helping military veterans dealing with PTSD and other after-effects of trauma exposure.  The results will help to inform whether angling can be prescribed in the future by the NHS for those who have experienced trauma.  Participating involves attending a FREE two-day, one-night fishing trip and completing a series of questionnaires to assess the impact of the fishing trip.  All fishing equipment is provided, as well as dinner on the Saturday and breakfast on the Sunday.  The fishing weekend takes place in Great Oakley and we are able to offer £20 to help with travel expenses.
