Home 5 About us 5 Bereavement and loss

You can experience bereavement and feelings of loss and grief after the death of a loved one.

We know that finding immediate support is important, especially whilst waiting to access specialist interventions. We can support you with guidance and information at this difficult time.

We also know you can also experience bereavement when you lose something important to you, like the ending of a marriage, a change in your physical abilities or appearance, or the loss of your identity after childbirth, illness, or major lifestyle change.

These challenges can affect people of all ages. Our Bereavement Services provide helpful support to anyone who is aged over 18 and living in Essex.

We offer expert advice about bereavement and loss, support groups for those also experiencing loss or bereavement and one to one bereavement volunteer support.

Contact our bereavement team for more information on 0300 37 33 333.

Emotional support

We provide a range of services to support people during emotionally challenging times – including for those facing the end of their life.
